Course 03

Previous plates.Future menus begin with you.

Examples of Adrian's previous work — every future menu is composed for one table, once.

Course 04

Your Evening

No fixed menu has to fit your evening. The evening should shape the menu.

  • The quietest form of the work: a considered menu for a small table, cooked and plated in your kitchen while the conversation carries on without you having to leave it.

  • A menu composed around the guest of honour — dishes they love, courses timed to the toasts, and a table that feels like the occasion deserves.

  • Several courses in deliberate order — each plate leading to the next, paced to the table. The closest form to Adrian's development work, designed once and served once.

  • One dinner or a stay's worth of meals in a rented property or second home across Bath, Wiltshire and Somerset. The practicalities of an unfamiliar kitchen are discussed honestly and agreed in advance.

  • Menus that hold a long table together — dishes that suit grandparents and children alike, with dietary needs woven in rather than bolted on.

  • Private dining for teams, clients and hosted guests — composed with the same discretion and precision Adrian brings to multi-site restaurant development.

  • Passed canapés and reception plates where the detail survives the scale — presentation-led, paced to the room, agreed piece by piece in your proposal.

  • Some evenings don't fit a category. Describe what you're imagining and the shape of the menu, service and setting will be designed around it.

Quiet questions

The details of every evening — menu, staffing, equipment, travel and hireware — are confirmed in your individual proposal. These answers cover how it usually works.

It starts with a conversation about your occasion, your guests and how you want the evening to feel. Adrian then proposes a menu written for that table. On the night, ingredients, preparation, cooking and plating are handled in your home, with the exact service agreed in advance.

Yes — dietary requirements are part of the first conversation, not an afterthought. Please tell Adrian about any allergies when you enquire, so the menu can be composed safely, and the practical limitations of a home kitchen are always discussed honestly.

Adrian is based between Warminster and Bath and primarily cooks across Bath, Wiltshire and Somerset. Further travel is often possible and is discussed individually as part of your enquiry.

Your proposal sets out exactly what is included for your evening — menu, ingredients, preparation, service and any agreed extras — so there are no assumptions on either side. Nothing is standardised; each quotation is written for its occasion.

Usually, yes. Most preparation is done in advance and the cooking is finished in your kitchen. Adrian will ask about your setup beforehand, and any limitations of the space are talked through openly before anything is confirmed.

As early as you can — for weekends and holiday periods in particular, enquiring well in advance gives the most flexibility. That said, it is always worth asking about nearer dates; if the diary allows, it can often be made to work.

Yes — Adrian cooks for weekend stays and rented holiday properties across Bath, Wiltshire and Somerset. It helps to know what the property's kitchen offers; the details are agreed with you (and, where useful, the property owner) before the visit.

If your evening calls for front-of-house support, additional staffing or hired tableware, raise it in your enquiry — staffing, equipment and hireware are agreed and priced within your individual proposal rather than assumed by default.
